Sugar is normal — free website development
for a project to help people with diabetes
About the project
Task
At the time of the request, the project did not have a full—fledged website — the main communication was conducted through social networks. This limited the possibilities of the project:
- there was a lack of a centralized platform
- It was difficult to structure the information
- There was no unified digital environment for interacting with the audience.
- the project lacked credibility and visual integrity
The website was created as part of the Doblab 2025 social initiative, a competition for free website development for NGOs and charitable organizations.
Our goal was to create a clear, modern and emotionally accurate website that:
- helps people quickly understand the mission of the project
- inspires confidence
- Works conveniently on mobile devices
- allows the team to update the content independently
- creates a full-fledged project presence in the digital environment
It was important to create not just an «organization page», but a full-fledged communication platform.
Why is it free
We do such projects for free, not for the sake of marketing or formal CSR.
It is a common human decision to help those initiatives that really need a digital infrastructure, but which do not always have the opportunity to invest in development.
That is why dozens of websites for NGOs and social projects are already being created as part of Doblab 2025.
What was the most important thing
In such projects, the key role is played not by the technology itself, but by the user’s feelings.
Therefore, the main focus was on:
- trust
- simplicity
- transparency
- clear structure
- mobile experience
- emotionally correct presentation of information

What have we done
UX and structure. We have designed the site structure so that the user:
- I quickly understood what the project was doing.
- I didn’t get lost in navigation
- I could easily find the information I needed
- I got an emotionally calm and understandable interaction experience.
Special attention was paid to:
- block logic
- information presentation sequences
- readability of the content
- interface adaptability
Design. A full-fledged visual style of the project was developed on the basis of Figma.:
- neat, minimalistic presentation
- a soft color palette
- modern typography
- adaptive layouts
- emotionally neutral, but «lively» interface
For medical and social topics, it is especially important not to overload the user visually. The interface should evoke a sense of trust and calmness — this is exactly what the design concept was based on.
Development on Tilda. Tilda— the optimal solution for:
- quick launch
- convenient content management
- simple website support by the foundation’s team
- minimizing future expenses
As part of the development, the following were implemented:
- adaptive layout
- SEO-basic optimization
- feedback forms
- configuring the page structure
- connecting the necessary services
- preparing a project for self-administration
Team training. After the launch, we:
- we showed you how to work with Tilda
- explained the process of updating the content
- we have provided instructions on how to manage the site
This is especially important for social projects — the site must remain alive and updated without the constant involvement of developers.
Result
After the launch, the project received:
- a full-fledged modern website instead of just social media
- a centralized platform for communication
- a more professional digital representation
- a convenient content management system
- adaptive interface for all devices
- the basis for further development of the initiative
The website has become an important part of the project’s online presence and has helped to take communication to a new level.
