Dobrolab — free website development
for a social project
About the project
Task
For such initiatives, a website is not just a “business card».
This:
- trust
- transparency
- an opportunity to talk about your mission
- communication with the audience
- attracting new partners and participants
At the start of the project, the organization did not have a website.
Our goal was to create a modern and intuitive website that:
- it helps to tell about the mission of the project
- inspires confidence
- Works conveniently on mobile devices
- easily updated by the foundation’s team
- helps to scale the initiative
At the same time, it was important to keep:
- simplicity
- human feed
- emotionality
a clear structure without congestion
Why is it free
We regularly support social and charitable initiatives and help them with digital infrastructure.
In the case of Doblab, the solution was simple:
if a project helps other NGOs, then it also needs a high—quality digital tool.
Without pathos and complicated formulations, it’s just a human decision to help.

What have we done
UX and structure. We started by designing the site structure:
- redesigned user scripts
- simplified navigation
- we thought over the structure of the pages
- they emphasized the clear presentation of information
The main task is for the user to understand in a few seconds.:
- What does the project do?
- who does it help
- how to participate
Design. A modern visual style has been developed based on Figma layouts.:
- neat typography
- easy interface
- adaptive design
- emotionally neutral, but “lively» presentation
Special attention was paid to:
- the mobile version
- readability
- visual trust
WordPress development. The website was implemented on WordPress so that the foundation’s team could:
- independently update the content
- publish news
- edit pages without developers
Also implemented:
- SEO database
- feedback forms
- adaptive layout
- basic optimization
Team training. After the launch, we:
- they explained how to work with CMS
- we showed you how to update the content
- we have prepared the project for independent use
This is especially important for NGOs — the website should not only be beautiful, but also convenient for daily work.
What was the most important thing
In commercial projects, conversions and metrics are often important.
In social projects, they come to the fore:
- trust
- transparency
- Simplicity
- emotional perception
- availability of information
Therefore, the main task was not to create a “spectacular design”, but to create an understandable and lively platform for communication.
Result
After the launch:
- The project has a full-fledged modern website.
- The team has received a convenient tool for developing the initiative
- The project has become more professional and structured.
- it has become easier to talk about the organization’s activities
Additionally, together with Doblab, the Doblab 2025 social contest was launched, an initiative to create free websites for NGOs.
At the moment:
- A significant part of the projects has already been implemented
- Dozens of organizations have received digital support
