ASO — free website development
for a social and public organization
About the project
Task
The ASO of Russia is an organization engaged in the development of social initiatives, support for public projects and the unification of the professional community in the field of socially oriented activities.
The project needed a modern website that:
- clearly talks about the organization’s activities
- inspires confidence
- helps to structure information
- simplifies communication with the audience
- it works correctly on mobile devices
- allows the team to update the content independently
At the time of the launch, the organization already had a website, but it is obsolete.:
- the interface looked overloaded
- Navigation was difficult
- the mobile version was unstable
- the content was difficult to perceive visually
- the site did not reflect the scale and level of the organization itself
Why is it free
The project was implemented as part of the Doblab 2025 social initiative, a program of free digital support for NGOs and social organizations.
We consciously allocate part of the team’s resources to such projects, because for many foundations and public initiatives, a high—quality digital infrastructure is not a marketing issue, but a matter of being able to properly talk about their activities, attract an audience and inspire trust.
Without pathos and «social PR» — we just think it’s the right decision.

What was done
UX and structure. Before development, we completely redesigned the site structure.:
- redesigned user scripts
- simplified navigation
- redistributed information blocks
- we have made a clearer presentation of the organization’s activities
- improved the readability of the content
The main task was to make the site perceived not as a «formal portal», but as a modern and vibrant digital platform.
Design. A new visual style was created based on the brandbook.:
- adaptive interface
- modern typography
- unified visual system
- careful work with accents and blocks
- adaptation to mobile devices
Special attention was paid to:
- visual trust
- the speed of information perception
- emotionally neutral, but professional presentation
Development on Tilda. Tilda was chosen as the platform, which allowed:
- launch the project quickly
- reduce the cost of support
- give the team the opportunity to update the content independently
- avoid complex technical infrastructure
As part of the development, the following were implemented:
- adaptive layout
- SEO-page structure
- feedback forms
- configuring basic indexing
- optimizing the download speed
- enabling analytics
- training the team to work with the website
What was the most important thing
For social and community projects, a good website is primarily a matter of trust.
Therefore, the key emphasis in the project was placed on:
- transparency
- ease of interaction
- clear structure
- adaptability
- the convenience of updating information
- professional visual perception
We tried to make a website that does not overload the user, but helps to quickly understand:
- What does the organization do?
- why does it exist
how to interact with it
Result
After the launch, the organization received:
- completely updated modern website
- a convenient content management system
- an adaptive communication platform
- more professional digital representation
- a tool for further development of information activities
Additionally:
- it has become easier for the team to publish materials
- The perception of the organization online has improved
- The site has become a full-fledged digital platform, not just a collection of pages.
This project is an example of how, even without huge budgets, you can create a high—quality digital platform for the social sector.
Sometimes a good website is not a «complement» to an organization’s activities, but its full—fledged tool for communication, trust and development.
