for a charitable foundation

About the project

Project type:
corporate website
Platform:
WordPress
Sphere:
social support, charitable foundation
Website:

Task

At the time of the request, the organization already had a website, but it:

  • It looked outdated
  • poorly adapted to modern devices
  • didn ‘t build up a sufficient level of trust
  • It was difficult to perceive
  • it did not reflect the scale and value of the organization ‘s activities

The project needed a modern digital representation that would help to build a more understandable and professional communication with the audience.

The development was carried out free of charge as part of the Doblab 2025 social initiative.

The main objective of the project is to completely rethink the visual and structural part of the site without complicating the user experience.

It was important:

  • make the website more modern
  • improve navigation
  • increase the level of trust
  • simplify the perception of information
  • adapt the interface to mobile devices
  • create a system that the team can maintain independently

At the same time, it was important to maintain the feeling of a «live» and human project, rather than turning the site into a formal corporate resource.

UX, structure and design

At the start, we conducted an audit of the current site and redesigned the page structure.

The main focus was on:

  • simplifying the user’s path
  • logical presentation of information
  • readability of the content
  • the correct placement of accents
  • interface adaptability

For social projects, it is especially important to quickly explain to the user:

  • What does the organization do?
  • Why is this important?
  • how can I interact with the project?

It was around these scenarios that the new website structure was built.

The interface has been completely redesigned in Figma.

The visual concept was built around:

  • minimalistic design
  • a calm color palette
  • modern typography
  • a neat visual hierarchy
  • adaptive grid

The main purpose of the design is to make the website visually easy, understandable and trustworthy.

We deliberately avoided overloaded solutions and complex visual designs so that the user would focus on the content and mission of the project.

WordPress development

WordPress was chosen as the platform.

This solution allowed:

  • quickly implement an updated website
  • provide convenient content management
  • minimize future expenses of the organization
  • give the team the opportunity to update the materials themselves

The following projects were implemented within the framework of the project::

  • adaptive layout
  • SEO-basic optimization
  • feedback forms
  • updated page structure
  • the administrative part for content management
  • preparing the website for further development

Team training

After the launch, we:

  • we have trained the team to work with WordPress
  • they showed the process of updating the content
  • We have provided instructions on site administration

For NGOs, it is especially important that the site remains manageable without the constant involvement of developers.

What was the most important thing

In such projects, the key role is played not by technology, but by a sense of trust and ease of interaction.

Therefore, the main focus was on:

  • transparency
  • clear structure
  • emotionally correct presentation
  • adaptability
  • ease of navigation
  • modern visual perception

Why is it free

This project was implemented as part of Doblab 2025, an initiative for the free development of websites for NGOs and social projects.

For us, this is not about «social PR», but about real assistance to organizations that are engaged in important initiatives, but do not always have the resources for a high-quality digital infrastructure.

That is why we take on some of these projects pro bono.

Result

After the launch of ANO «Axel» received:

  • completely updated modern website
  • a more professional digital representation
  • a convenient content management system
  • adaptive interface for all devices
  • clearer communication with the audience
  • the basis for further development of the project

The website has become not just a design update, but a full-fledged digital platform for presenting the organization’s activities.
