The Touchmetrics team was responsible for communication with the customer and the design project, and LP Agency fully implemented the frontend, backend, system architecture, integration, and technical part of the project.

Task

Aurora.luxe is a premium brand of clothing of its own production, represented in the markets of Russia and the CIS countries.

Our task was to develop a full-fledged online store from scratch. Not just a beautiful website, but a complex e-commerce system with deep integration of the company’s internal business processes.

The project combined an online store, a personal account of customers, automatic data exchange with 1C, integration with CRM, payment systems, delivery service and dozens of internal automation mechanisms.

By the time development began, the company did not have an online store.

It was necessary to create a single digital platform that would allow:

  • to present the brand in the premium segment;
  • automate the work of the catalog;
  • integrate the store with 1C;
  • ensure a quick exchange of orders;
  • Realize a modern user experience;
  • maintain high performance even with a large number of products and media files.

An additional complication was the huge number of variable products, the complex catalog structure and the limitations of the existing 1C system.

Online Store

A full-fledged e-commerce platform was implemented as part of the project.

  • unique home page;
  • product catalog;
  • product cards;
  • collections;
  • categories;
  • search;
  • Product selection;
  • the «Assemble Image» functionality;
  • adaptive version;
  • Pixel Perfect-layout.

In total, about 15 unique pages were developed.

Complex directory structure

The directory has several levels of nesting:

  • women;
  • men;
  • children;

Next, each category is divided into collections.

Clothing types are located inside the collections, after which each product has its own print options.

The special feature of the project was that each print is a separate product with its own characteristics, sizes and residues.

As a result, the system works with about 1000-2000 SKUs, which makes it much more difficult to synchronize the catalog.

Integration with 1C

One of the most difficult parts of the project was the deep integration of the online store with 1C.

Automatically synced:

  • product catalog;
  • categories;
  • collections;
  • sizes;
  • variants;
  • prices;
  • remains;
  • statuses.

They are transmitted in the opposite direction:

  • completed orders;
  • applications;
  • refunds.

In fact, the online store has become part of the company’s unified ecosystem.

Proprietary CommerceML handler

The standard CommerceML turned out to be insufficient to implement the project requirements.

The main problem was that the data came in the form of a huge XML file that could not be directly used in WordPress.

Therefore, we have developed our own CommerceML processing system.

She:

  • parses the XML structure;
  • collects variable products;
  • combines sizes;
  • binds collections;
  • forms the directory structure;
  • automatically updates the data.

This made it possible to turn the raw data stream into a full-fledged online store catalog.

Automatic uploading of photos and videos

Another feature of the project was the lack of images and videos in 1C.

To solve this problem, we have developed a separate module.

The company’s employees post photos and videos on Yandex.Disk.

After synchronization, the system automatically:

  • finds the necessary files;
  • compares them with products;
  • uploads images;
  • attaches a video;
  • updates product cards.

This way, employees continue to work in the familiar infrastructure without manually uploading content to the site.

Custom plugins

Several internal modules have been developed as part of the project.

Among them are:

  • the CommerceML handler;
  • the catalog import module;
  • data parsing system;
  • translator based on DeepL and Yandex. Translate;
  • the module for automatically uploading photos and videos from Yandex.Disk;
  • image optimization;
  • video optimization;
  • logging synchronization errors;
  • processing of variable products.

Most of these solutions were written specifically for the customer’s needs.

Personal account

A full-fledged personal account was implemented for the buyers.

The user can:

  • view the order history;
  • track statuses;
  • repeat purchases;
  • store delivery addresses;
  • add products to favorites;
  • make refunds.

Integrations

The project combines several external services at once.

Integrations have been implemented with:

  • 1C;
  • Bitrix24;
  • Dalli;
  • Yukassa;
  • Dolami T-Bank;
  • DeepL;
  • By Yandex Translator.

All requests are automatic:

  • saved in WordPress;
  • they are sent to CRM Bitrix24;
  • they are sent by e-mail;
  • they are transmitted back to 1C.

Multilingualism

An English version of the website was implemented for the project.

The special feature is that the translation of the catalog is automated.

To do this, we have developed our own module that combines the capabilities of DeepL and Yandex.Translate.

This has significantly reduced the amount of manual work when publishing new products.

Efficiency

The large volume of the catalog and media files required serious performance optimization.

A comprehensive technical optimization was carried out as part of the project.

We:

  • optimized the operation of the dynamic menu;
  • multi-level caching has been implemented;
  • configured the Redis Object Cache;
  • optimized MySQL;
  • localized external JavaScript and CSS libraries;
  • implemented our own system image and video optimization.

As a result, we managed to achieve a noticeable increase in productivity.

Based on the results of stress testing:

  • The response time under high load was reduced from about 34-38 seconds to 6.2 seconds.;
  • execution of complex SQL queries decreased to about 0.4 seconds;
  • page generation reduced to 0.8–1.2 seconds;
  • The system has consistently withstood the load of over 5,000 concurrent users without errors.

SEO

For the project, the following were implemented:

  • CNC;
  • micro-markup;
  • OpenGraph;
  • txt;
  • xml;
  • image optimization;
  • speed optimization;
  • bread crumbs;
  • correct metadata.

The most difficult tasks of the project

The most difficult part of the project was working with the data coming from 1C via CommerceML.

The standard exchange mechanism did not allow for the correct presentation of the catalog in the online store, so it was necessary to develop our own system for processing, parsing and structuring the goods.

Combining a large number of integrations into a single ecosystem has become an equally difficult task. The online store simultaneously interacts with 1C, Bitrix24 CRM, delivery service, payment services, multilingual system and its own internal modules, while maintaining stability and high speed.

Result

As a result, the customer received not just an online store, but a full-fledged digital sales management system.

Today, the platform allows:

  • automatically synchronize the catalog with 1C;
  • update thousands of product items;
  • manage multilingual content;
  • automatically process photos and videos;
  • accept online payments;
  • calculate delivery;
  • working with CRM;
  • make refunds through your personal account;
  • ensure high performance even under heavy load.

The project has become an important part of the brand’s digital infrastructure and significantly automated the online store maintenance processes.
